Shah Rukh Khan received an honorary doctorate at the sixth convocation of Maulana Azad National Urdu University on Monday.


 

Here’s some absolutely fantastic news for all King Khan fans. Shah Rukh Khan received an honorary doctorate at the sixth convocation of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (Hyderabad) on Monday.

 

The ceremony was attended by President Pranab Mukherjee, among others where actor Shah Rukh Khan was conferred an honorary doctorate for his dedication to promote the Urdu language and culture.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, about 48,000 students received their degrees on Monday in the presence of Telengana and Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narsimhan and Telengana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali.

 

According to ANI, Shah Rukh Khan stated, “My mother would have been very happy as I am getting this honour in Hyderabad, her birthplace.”
