Model-actor Milind Soman continues to defy age. Set to turn 50 this November, he completed the Ironman triathlon in Zurich on July 19. Widely regarded as one of the toughest one-day sporting events in the world, Soman was among seven Indians in the 2000-participant line-up.
The triathlon is part of a series of such events organised by the World Triathlon Corporation and includes a strenous swim of 3.8 kilometres, followed by a 180.2 km cycle ride and a run of 42.2 km. In order to bag the Ironman title, participants need to complete the three feats in the given order within 16 hours. Soman clocked in an impressive timing of 15 hours and 19 minutes. In the lead up to the event, as well as just after it ended, the model-actor has been updating his Facebook followers with images of him training to prepare for the event. Check out all of them on his official page (https://www.facebook.com/MilindRunning?fref=ts).
