(RAHUL BOSE)
40 , ACTOR

Listen to yourself. When I decided to take up acting full-time my sister was a little worried. My four best friends who I have grown up with also wondered about it, but I have always been infamous for saying something and actually getting it done.
Experiment. I am making a movie called Moth Smoke this year. We got the money for the movie in 48 hours flat, all because of an unbelievable script. The movie will have no stars in it and I want to cast people who are equally charged up about the film as I am.
Winning and losing is not in your hands. All you can do is kill yourself doing your best. Awards are magnificent. But although both my awards have been international awards, how does one determine if I am a better actor than another? Keanu Reeves was great in the Matrix, but Sean Penn would have been a disaster.
Expect the worst. Go out there and chase your dreams thinking of the worst-case scenario. If you are prepared for the worst, you will automatically find your very own safety blanket.
Everyone is practical when they are starving. Never be practical, only be idealistic. I say this because slowly but surely your ideals will be chipped away from you.
I have a lot of regrets in life. In fact I am inundated with them. I regret the quality of my acting in some of my movies and regret acting in certain movies. I regret being a hot headed punk when I was in school. But how emasculating is a life without any regrets! How can one not have regrets? Or else how will you move forward?
Accept your fears. The biggest decision I have made in my life is to accept and digest my fears and then shoot past them.
