Rohit Bal knew he had found India’s supermodel
when he discovered Arjun Rampal. Standing tall and
lean, Rampal can carry off practically anything
with ease and élan, making every garment
his own. Still every designer and stylist’s
favourite, Rampal is much missed on the ramp. “Arjun
has the body, the face, the maturity and the grace
to carry all sorts of clothes. His style is not
abrasive, but it is quiet, understated and effortless,”
says designer Wendell Rodricks. Rampal loves experimenting
with clothes and his wardrobe comprises of trench
coats, jackets and suits in some fine threads and
leather. Stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania describes
him as “fashion forward”. This year
Rampal sizzled yet again on the ramp for Tarul Tahiliani
along with former ramp hotties Milind Soman and
Dino Morea. He also added another feather to his
cap when he garnered many accolades for making bad
look sexy in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om.
