Shah
Rukh Khan’s fashion sense has evolved since
he first stepped into Bollywood. He has done a complete
volte face since his previous fashion fiascos. Choreographer
Marc Robinson points out that it is the “Gauri
effect” and Khan agrees completely. While
friend, director Karan Johar has styled his looks
for many movies, Khan says that most of his clothes
have been bought by his wife Gauri or friends. This
year he ditched his business suits in favour of
a new look. Sporting a pony tail teamed with fitted,
deep V neck T-shirts, denims and the signature dimpled
smile, SRK took to the red carpet with a vengeance.
However, he chose to switch to a classic European
formal wear during the London premiere of his movie
Om Shanti Om. While setting trends for the masses
isn’t new to Khan, the movie inspired a whole
new clothing range that revisited the 1970’s
(read high-waisted, pop colour trousers and huge-collared
shirts with psychedelic prints). But he made a bigger
style statement with his six-packs avatar. Khan
still remains the badshah of style.
