This
half-Parsi, half-Malayalee hunk is single-handedly
responsible for the attack of the straightened hair
brigade. John Abraham’s silken locks have
garnered as much press as the 35-year-old actor
himself. As a clotheshorse, he scorched the ramp
wearing clothes designed by some of India’s
biggest designers, but his personal laidback style
is jeans and ganjis accentuated by funky wrist bands,
neckpieces and cool flip-flops. “John Abraham
is stylish because he is trendy and has a style
that is unique to him. He is innovative with his
ideas like teaming chappals with jeans and blazers,”
says model Deepti Gujral. But put him in a linen
suit by his favourite designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed
and watch that unmistakable Abraham charm come to
the fore. “Versatility is John’s forté
coupled with a great body,” says the designer.
By launching his own line of clothes, more specifically
his jeans that bear that unmistakable insignia of
the alphabet ‘J’ on the crotch, John
is slowly entrenching himself with those who have
a risqué fashion sense. “Anyone who
has a line of jeans with a J embroidered on the
crotch has a wicked sense of style,” says
his hairstylist and friend Sapna Bhavnani.
