Catalano is not a name that many would recognize as
yet. But the anonymity won't last for too long for Saif
Ali Khan's elegant girlfriend. She will be soon seen
in an ad film starring the nawab himself. She also graces
the cover of the next issue of Verve magazine, her first
big break into the limelight. Born in Southern Italy,
the young Rosa spent her school life in Switzerland,
worked in an insurance bank, did a short stint as hostess
with a Swiss airline (she found it too boring to stick
it out), worked with HIV affected people in Norway and
then went off to Kenya to work as a health care volunteer.
Now 30, she met Saif in Nairobi at a charity concert,
"It was very special the first time we met. I didn't
know who he was at all…" she told Verve. Rosa
is currently learning yoga at a suburban Mumbai institute
in the hope being able to work with children. But with
her kind of looks, the question is, whether Bollywood
would be too far away.
