"I
am not really sexy, I am cute," giggles this
Chandigarh-bred, Mumbai-based girl. In her first
show, Kahiin to Hoga, Surveen Chawla wore very
short dresses and tight kurtas unlike the other
women around her.
It got her noticed, and also got her the lead
role in Sony TV's Kaajjal, where she plays a small-town
girl who comes to Mumbai in search of a career.
"I did the same three years ago. It's a big
high to have all the attention focused on you
and to be in almost every frame."
Though back in salwar kameezes for the serial,
Surveen says she loves dressing in tight jeans
and tees. "But I do not have a style statement.
It's anything I look good in. I like to dress
according to the occasion and my mood. I am not
too fussy."
She gets bored easily and television can get quite
monotonous, "but right now I am enjoying
doing the lead role." Surveen likes to play
characters who are spunky and do not toe the line.
