The thrill of having travelled the country for Channel V's Freedom Express still hasn't sunk in. "It was just amazing the amount of fun the show was." For VJ Archana, it's also been a leap from her glam style image as Get Gorgeous winner and the host for the latest version to playing a de-glam avatar. "I got shot without makeup, meeting interesting people and also travelling from the west to east of India." What the VJ cannot get over - showcasing her hometown. "I actually saw parts of the Calcutta that I had not seen and appreciated before. I also interviewed my Physics teacher who's extremely well known!"
Balancing modelling and VJing, this 20-something will also be seen in L'Oreal's Spring-Autumn campaign and Nike's new range. "I had to cut my hair short for the L'Oreal shoot and get a completely new look. Not that I am complaining," she says with a laugh. Films are on the radar for the VJ who has received oodles of compliments for her act in Love Diaries. "I am waiting for the right offer to come my way…" And while she's waiting, the model is traipsing around the countryside… "People shouldn't be travelling to Switzerland. Just get out of Mumbai city, because Maharashtra is just so beautiful!" Just like her, eh?
