Day 2: Prints, hearts and Kaleidoscope at LFW #menswear
Day 2: Prints, hearts and Kaleidoscope at LFW #menswear

Prints might just be fading out even though a few designers are fighting really hard to keep it in vogue

Day 2 kicked off with young designers in the Gen Next section with a barrage of crazy prints on easy-to-wear silhouettes. While Charchit Bafna brought in buttonless jackets and trenches with simple hand embroidery which might be a cool addition to a Friday night wardrobe, Ajay Kumar’s kaleidoscopic overdose was, well, an overkill. Too much is never too good.

The super talented Pranav Misra and Shyma Shetty have definitely found new sources of inspiration. Animalistic and earthy, the collection was quite a twist on regular evening wear. Faux leather, leopard prints and fur, this duo is increasingly becoming a favourite for those who love serious edge and adore breaking rules.

And talking about striking the right balance, Quirkbox presented a beautiful collection inspired by hearts and all things mushy. Based on geometric designs and pop colours, the menswear was simple, understated but quite unique in the use of embroidery and appliqué. Extremely wearable, Quirkbox has come a long way from being about just prints.
