Ducati India – an official subsidiary of Ducati Motors and the Indian arm of the Italian performance motorcycle giant, held its first press meet at Ducati’s official dealership in New Delhi – the largest dealership in the world.
Ducati Asia General Manager Pierfrancesco Scalzo and Ducati India MD Ravi Avalur announced Ducati’s plans for the near future which included the unveiling of it’s third Indian dealership in UB City, Bangalore in October 2015 ( the second one being the Mumbai dealership)
Along with this the company announced their 2015 line-up, adding two new variants of the Ducati Scrambler – the Classic and the Full Throttle. The Classic pays homage to the 70’s style Scrambler with spoke wheels and longer front and rear fenders. The Full Throttle is a proper flat tracker with no rear fender, dual exhaust pipes and a matte black paint scheme.
Along with this Ducati also announced the motorcycles which will be available in India. The range includes the Scrambler, the Diavel – including the exclusive Carbon and Titanium variants, the Hypermotard and Hyperstrada. Joining these bikes will be the freshly ridden Ducati Monster 821 and the entire range of Ducati’s track focussed Panigale family right from the 899 to the wild 1299 Panigale and Panigale R.
All dealerships will be accompanied by authorised service centres which shall cater to the needs of the Ducatisti, new and old. Along with this Ducati also aim to eventually introduce their official Ducati Rider Experience program where owners and enthusiasts will engage in sessions where they are trained to utilise the bikes to their full capacities.
