It takes a little more than superior genes to look this good
Call it an occupational hazard but Fashion Consultant and Creative Director Edward Lalrempuia is arguably one of the most stylish men around, topped up by annoyingly good skin that’s perpetually glowing. Maybe it’s his North-East Indian genes or maybe it’s the fact that Lalrempuia follows a disciplined grooming routine that you might just want to emulate.
Edward Lalrempuia: Check my phone, unfortunately. This is usually followed by waking up my dogs for their walk. Then, I grudgingly head to make coffee.
EL: 1. A lot of Chanel Beauty and Paula’s Choice.
1. Oil Reducing Cleanser by Paula’s Choice as I have oily combination skin
2. Pore Reducing Toner by Paula’s Choice
3. Essence Water by SK 11 for glowing skin
4. Chanel No 1 Revitalising Serum for youthful radiance
5. Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum to retain moisture for supple skin
6. Chanel Le Lift Cream for Anti-Aging
7. Murad Matte Sunscreen
EL: I found this amazing perfume and I haven’t really used any other fragrance for a year. It’s called Another 13 by Le Labo. I’ve used it both day and night. If I had to recommend a night fragrance, then it would be Ambre Nuit by Dior or Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford.
EL: Iced with almond milk.
EL: I shift between these two exclusively depending on my mood: scrambled eggs with sourdough toast and sliced avocado with olive oil and sea salt or rolled oats with coconut sugar, almond milk and blueberries.
EL: I have a hectic life so I can’t train as much as I would like to. But if I can manage it then three days of weight training/ HIIT and two days of gravity pilates. On a busy week, two days of weight training and a 45-min run.
EL: I don’t read news at all, but I do check out funny gossip sites like Socialitelife.com or Celebitchy.com.
EL: Depends on my mood again, but mostly soothing music.
EL: Priestdaddy by Patricia Lockwood. It’s a damn funny memoir. I don’t like reading heavy stuff because of my hectic work life, so funny memoirs are the best.
EL: My phone charger, a bottle of water and my lamp of course, also a coaster is very important (blame it on my OCD).
EL: I don’t do much to my hair as I already had a transplant. I shampoo three times a week, oil maybe once or twice a month and use minimal hair products.
EL: Avoid the sun like the plague. Sun damage is one of the biggest factors of premature ageing. Carry an umbrella out in the sun and wear sunscreen all day every day.
