Finn Wolfhard Is All Set To Direct His Second Film And He Is Only 19!

The film in talks is a horror comedy titled Hell of a Summer, and will be backed by the production banner 30West

Finn Wolfhard is one of the most sought-after Gen-Z actors in Hollywood right now. The teen, who started out in 2013, has come a long way, thanks to Stranger Things giving him global fandom. The actor is now, looking too expand his horizons and will soon be co-directing a feature film with Crisis-actor Billy Bryk.

 

The film in talks is a horror comedy titled Hell of a Summer, and will be backed by the production banner 30West. Aside from directing, Wolfhard and Bryk will be writing the script, while also starring in it, alongside Fred Hechinger. Production for the project is expected to start this month in Ontario, Canada. 

 

Wolfhard expressed his excitement and said, “I get the chance to work with an incredible cast and crew, and to work with a company like 30West and Aggregate is a real dream.” Interestingly, this will be his second directorial stint already he’s all of 19! Before this, he made his directorial debut with the 2020 short film Night Shifts.

 

This will mark Wolfhard and Bryk’s third collaboration after Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Jesse Eisenberg’s feature directorial debut When You Finish Saving the World.

 

Hechinger, Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Jay Van Hoy will also produce the film, backed by Aggregate Films and Parts and Labor Production.
