The end of 2020 has got everyone recapping the historic year. Last month, former US President Barack Obama released his own playlist, now, rap legend Jay-Z has released his very own compilation of his favourites from the year.
Aptly dubbed “2020 Vision COVID 19,” the playlist is a Tidal-exclusive. The cover art of the playlist featuring Naomi Osaka in a mask she wore during the Women’s U.S. Open featuring George Floyd’s name, is striking, eye-catching, and symbolic of what Hov is feeling and wants to convey.

Naturally, the playlist is extremely hip-hop heavy and features some of the biggest names from the industry like Drake, Travis Scott, Nas, Lil Wayne, Jay Electronica, Freddie Gibbs, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and more. Hov also made sure to support some of international hip-hop’s newest artistes. Lil Baby’s We Paid, Nigerian artiste Burna Boy’s Onyeka, Westside Gunn’s Claiborne Kick all make an appearance on 2020 Vision COVID 19. Other notable additions include artistes like the late rapper Pop Smoke, and Jay-Z’s own wife, Beyoncé.
