Muji has started a furniture subscription service in Japan as consumers follow the new normal of working from home. It will be rolled out in Japanese cities before experimenting with other parts across the world.
It’s a collaborative partnership with interior design brand Idee. The brand’s monthly flat-rate service will provide customers with rental packages curated around three themes: Sleeping, Learning/Working and Relaxing. It will also offer home office renovation and online lifestyle consultation services.
The subscription program starts at ¥800 JPY (approximately $8 USD) per month.
