Four-time Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke stars in Tesla, a biopic of sorts on pioneering scientist Nikola Tesla. The film is written and directed by Michael Almereyda and is aiming for a theatrical and on-demand release on the 21st of August, reports Deadline.
Following its premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, the film won the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize. The film is based on Tesla’s revolutionary work on electricity and his historic rivalry with Thomas Edison, portrayed by Kyle MacLachlan.
