The much-awaited Oscars 2021 award night wrapped up with many surprises and deserving wins. The 93rd Academy Awards took place at both the Dolby Theatre and Union Station, and after a long time, we saw Hollywood celebs step out looking their best. The ceremony had a lot of anticipation attached to it since it was arriving two months later than originally planned, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we can safely say that the wait was worth it.

The nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards were announced on March 15 this year with films like Judas and the Black Messiah, Mank, Minari, Nomadland dominating the list. Actor-filmmaker Emerald Fennell, Another Round and Daniel Kaluuya were the early winners at the Oscars 2021. Fennell bagged the Best Original Screenplay Oscar for her #MeToo drama Promising Young Woman. Kaluuya took away the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, and Another Round won the Best International Feature Oscar.
“I’d like to thank my mom. You gave me everything. You gave me your factory settings. So I could stand at my fullest height,” Kaluuya said while accepting his award during the Oscars 2021. The award for Best-Adapted Screenplay Academy Award went to Christopher Hampton and Florian Zeller for their Anthony Hopkins-Olivia Colman-starrer The Father while Nomadland dominated the awards, bagged the Best Picture Award and won in 5 more categories.
