Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry have been in the news recently for their decision to move away from their royal titles and attempt to live a normal life. The beloved couple has found solace and love on social media, something that they need due to the intense and mean media scrutiny they face from the British Press.
Recently, Prince Harry fell prey to a prank phone call. The Sun reports that two Russian tricksters pretended to be Greta Thunberg and her father and called him up and got him to reveal certain details and issues about himself that have kept him in the news.
“It perhaps highlights that there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes, never publicly spoken about, to ensure things run smoothly and are hitch-free,” a royal staff member said to the Telegraph. “As they move forward, they do need to invest in proper resources and have the right management, rather than adopting an approach more familiar in show business. Perhaps this incident will highlight that. Let’s hope it’s a wake-up call.”
“You can be as accessible, relaxed and as informal as the media portrays you, but as soon as you act like that, mistakes can happen,” another aide said. The aide also mentioned that Harry was forced to change his phone number and email as a result of the prank.
