A part of the proceeds from Supreme’s latest collaboration with artist and musician Daniel Johnston will go towards supporting mental health organisations.

The proceeds will go to the Hi, How Are You Project and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), which are non-profit organizations that provide support for youth affected by mental illnesses.

The brand took to Instagram to make the announcement by sharing a short montage featuring archival clips of the late who passed away in September 2019, who was known for taking artistic inspiration from his schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. A voice over by Johnston is heard throughout the video with the artist expressing: “I think art has always been inspired by beauty. I think there have been many artists throughout history who had a major inspiration whether it’s a girl or even just a philosophy. That’s what I like about life and about art. It’s when you write a song it’s just the way you saw it or just the way that it was.”
