Ever since news emerged that Mr Robert Pattinson aka Edward aka Cedric Diggory was going to play BATMAN, we’ve known (hoped) that the film would be unlike anything else in the series. Now, with production halted due to the global lockdowns, Andy Serkis has shared a tit-bit about what the movie will be like.
When he was asked (oh, he plays the iconic butler, Alfred btw) if Pattinson’s Batman was going to be darker and broodier, he said: “I would say that’s not far from the truth.”
Cosmic Book reports that Serkis went ahead to compliment director Matt Reeves on his “really exquisite script” and said that the story would be “very much about the emotional connection between Alfred and Bruce. That’s really at the centre of it.”The Batman gets released October 1, 2021, hopefully.
The film also stars Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.
