With a great Instagram following comes a great responsibility of keeping up with your children (who only communicate with you on social media), memes and most importantly, what flies as current style for celebrity dads.
Of course, you’ll have your star kids and their stylists giving you pointers once in a while but eventually, it’s a single player game. You have to master it on your own, even if you’re a famous and all fathered up.
MW did a rundown on all the celebrity fathers’ Instagram pages and found out that these guys could potentially outshine their kids and balling hard in the style department.
Sanjay Kapoor
Almost all of Raj Kapoor clan is heavily invested in social media. And why wouldn’t they be? You’d think their IRL parties are ragers but wait till you see the actual evidence on their pages, you’ll realise it’s beyond and more. The Kapoor in question is Sanjay, who mostly about them three-piece suits although he does thrown in a denim jacket or a two in the mix once in a while, barring that one t-shirt that said ‘Beast’.
Shahrukh Khan
Most of his selfies obviously suggest he’s big into sunglasses, to go with his shaggy mop on top. Although, his actual obsession is with sneakers especially the brand GGDB which he even wore for his movie Jab Harry met Sejal.
Anil Kapoor
The ‘Anil Kapoor Effect’ has manifested into a true phenomenon where the man keeps getting better with his age. Also, he’s the kind of a dad who’d give you a sip of his beer when you’re 19. He’s a straight G when it comes to his suits, complete with a variety of brogues, oxfords, monkstraps and more. But he doesn’t completely avoid sneaker either.
Shahid Kapoor
His daughter may not know style well enough to guide him through his dressing just yet, but Shahid Kapoor cleans up well on his own, and has been doing that for quite some time. When he’s not candidly sunbathing in parks, he’s probably one of the few men who get what athleisure is. So you’ll always spot him in trucker hats, shorts, a whole lot of sneakers and more.
Akshay Kumar
His signature style of one pant rolled up just below his knee is something that we’ve all seen for a while. The onesie at the airport is also not something that’s new. When he isn’t living life on the edge like that, Akshay Kumar does a nice mix of formal, informal and even some military detailing on his person.
Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik could very well be India’s very own David Beckham. He’s active on social media; he trolls his kids on the regular; he’s also a dad to a dog. So the only thing that’s left now is his style, which quite frankly, hasn’t been that wild very often, except for those dirty blond highlights for his move Dhoom 2.
