India’s one of the most prominent designers Shantnu & Nikhil has introduced a new concept under their S & N by Shantnu Nikhil label – Shantnu Nikhil Cricket Club.
Think of two worlds coming together – a combination of fashion and sport taking control to bring out an aesthetically pleasing collection. This luxe label combines the luxury design philosophy of “S & N by Shantnu Nikhil”, while bringing out pieces that connect with cricket.
Keeping in mind India’s love for the sport, the designer duo has introduced a brand new batsman logo that symbolises the spirit of achievement, portraying a will to strive forward and a sense of unity – a culture that the Shantnu Nikhil Cricket Club stands for.
Designer Nikhil Mehra explains that the concept was a dream come true, combining the ethos of the sport and fashion. “Shantnu Nikhil Cricket Club is a long-awaited dream, inspired by our love for cricket and a vision to connect the sport to lifestyle promise. The building foundation of our childhood revolved around playing various sports, excelling in most of them. Since sport as a medium has had an incredible impact on how we carved our journey and has been one of the stronger virtues of our design philosophy, we are proud to present a fashion vocabulary which speaks the language of spunky, young urban India merged with a powerful sporting culture, as we offer a new aesthetic,” Mehra explains how the concept came about.
Seen first time in the Indian fashion space, this fashion meets sports offers a comprehensive collection for both men and women. Think classic retro varsity jackets, crested sweatshirts, sweater vests, cropped polos as well as accessories including neckerchiefs, sneakers, bucket hats, belts, duffle bags and more.
For the campaign, Shantnu & Nikhil partnered with cricketer Shubman Gill, who perfectly reps the urban laid-back vibe of the cricket-style brand. Speaking about the campaign and collaborating with the designers, Gill adds, “I’m excited and honoured to be the face of Shantnu & Nikhil’s brand new design language – Shantnu Nikhil Cricket Club. They have been the torchbearers of contemporary Indian fashion for a long time and I am all game to be a part of this new movement where cricket will finally find its way into a lifestyle conversation through their medium of luxe fashion.”
The latest Shantnu Nikhil Cricket Club collection will be available online and on other shopping portals including Ajio Luxe, Tata Cliq Luxury, Aza Fashions, Ogaan and The Collective from November 20.
Apart from e-commerce platforms, it will be available in S&N retail stores – DLF Avenue Mall, Ambience Mall, DLF Promenade Mall, and Mall of India Pacific Mall, at Delhi-NCR and other retail outlets across Bangalore, Mumbai, Raipur, Amritsar and Ahmedabad.
