You may come across some priceless pieces of music memorabilia during an auction. But hip-hop memorabilia is quite rare to come across and one of the genre’s biggest stars, Tupac, has even fewer items that usually go under the hammer. But a selection of Tupac memorabilia is currently being auctioned by Gotta Have Rock and Roll.
Among the items up for grabs are two bandanas that were formerly owned and worn by the late rapper. As per the listing’s description, the two bandanas are being sold by a “very close family friend of Tupac’s,” and are in “very good condition.” They claim to be in “very good” condition, and they also come with a letter of provenance and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll certificate of authenticity.
Apart from his iconic bandanas, other Tupac-related items are also listed to be auctioned like a handwritten and signed envelope to his girlfriend that he wrote in prison, an original signed and inscribed publicity photograph, an original Polaroid, a Death Row Records press release, and a set of hotel bills.
The bandanas are estimated to fetch anywhere between $2,000 to $4,000, but we won’t be surprised if the final amount ends up touching five-figure amounts.
