A lover just needs to be loved, and he/she will ask only for their love to be returned from the almighty. All other requests and dreams can fall by the wayside. It’s an extremely romantic thought, and that’s what the song is about. So without further ado, let’s listen to the song.

The film Raid is in the same vein as other Ajay Devgn starrers like Singham and Gangaajal. One man trying to clear up the system that is. Interestingly, it’s been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta who has made hard hitting films like Aamir and No One Killed Jessica in the past. 

There are quite a few dialogues in the film’s trailer that are delivered in trademark Ajay Devgn style, where he plays an income tax officer. The villian played wonderfully by Saurabh Shukla says, “Khaali haath jaaoge.”

In response, Devgn says, “Main sirf sasuraal se hi shaadi waale din khaali haath lauta tha. Aur main jiske ghar subah subah pahuncha huu, kuch kuch na kuch nikaal kar hi laaya huu.” 

Unlike Singham, Devgn’s anger in the film seems more understated, but then Rohit Shetty and Raj Kumar Gupta are two very different directors. 

In an interview with Scroll, Raj Kumar Gupta said, “A film needs to be made with integrity. Sometimes, a project does not shape up the way you want it to, in terms of the screenplay, budget, or the kind of actors you are looking for. Ultimately, you only make the film that you really want to make.”

Coming back to the song, it’s been picturized wonderfully well and we can go on and on about Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s ability to pull off a love ballad. He did it with panache in numbers like Mann Ki Lagan and Jag Ghoomeya, and he does it again here. 

From the sound of it, the song looks to stand the test of time and maybe heard 3-4 years from now. We can’t say for sure, as we’d prefer to let time do the talking.
