Donning the director’s hat this time around, Konkona Sen Sharma is all geared up for her directorial debut, A Death in the Gunj, that boasts of a stellar cast comprising Ranvir Shorey, Kalki Koechlin, Vikrant Massey, Jim Sarbh, Om Puri, Gulshan Devaiah and Tillotama Shome.

The film is all set to premiere at the 41st Toronto International Film Festival in September this year, alongside several other masterpieces from all over the world. The script, penned by Konkona Sen Sharma, is a coming-of-age tale that revolves around Shayamal Chatterjee (Vikrant Massey) who unravels a murder mystery while on a family trip from Kolkata to Jharkhand’s small Anglo-Indian town known as McCluskiegunj.

Produced by Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan under the banner called Macguffin Pictures, the story unfolds over a period of seven days and the film’s trailer definitely looks promising.
