Andy Garcia and Michael K. Williams join Ghostbusters reboot cast
The all-star cast of the Ghostbusters reboot gets even stronger
As if there wasn’t enough hype caused by the presence of Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Kristin Wiig and Leslie Jones – the current sorority of Hollywood’s funniest women, in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, it’s just been announced that Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams will also be a part of the all-star cast.
Garcia, most famous for his role in Godfather III and the Ocean’s franchise will play the role of Mayor of New York while Williams, famous for portraying the role of Omar Little on HBO’s hit TV series The Wire will play a man named Hawkins. It’s unclear at the moment if Hawkins character of the loveable Omar – a criminal with a golden heart.
The movie directed by Paul Fieg is said to have been inspired by The Walking Dead and will be more horror oriented than the original 1984 film starring Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver. Let’s hope the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man makes it to the big screen too.
