After Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death and the drug probe around it, Bollywood actors have tried to maintain a low profile. They have moved into a shell, trying to avoid the spotlight, and distancing themselves from the topic altogether. But actor Akshay Kumar surprised everyone and decided to post a video expressing his views about the matter.
The actor spoke on Rajput and the Bollywood drug accusations, acknowledging a problem does exist, but claiming not everyone is involved in it.
He tweeted: “Bahot dino se mann mein kuch baat thi lekin samajh nahi aa raha tha kya kahoon, kisse kahoon. Aaj socha aap logon se share kar loon, so here goes… #DirectDilSe”

But netizens didn’t see the video to be an honest expression of views, but saw it to be more of a promotion for his upcoming movie Laxmmi Bomb, which is slated to release next month. Several replies came in bashing Kumar’s video, and soon enough, the hashtag #BanLaxmiBomb started trending on Twitter.
