(WATCH) The Jab Harry Met Sejal Trailer Has Launched And It’s Way Better Than The Shoddy Title
All you Jabra fans of SRK, rejoice. The trailer of Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal has just dropped, and we think it will make a great film. Shah Rukh Khan is trying his hand at comedy after long, and this seems to be a light film that will make you giggle a lot.
Seriously, after the shoddy title we didn’t have too many expectations from the film. But now we are excited. Imtiaz Ali knows how to create a lot of humour out of confusion – like he did in Socha Na Tha and Jab We Met. He is trying to do something similar here, and we think he has brought his A-Game forward.
That said, there are certain elements that are recurring in all of Ali’s movies. For example, there’s a travel song more often than not. This film too has Safar. Not only that, most romances happen when the boy meets girl when they are travelling. There’s also a song about existential crisis, and a happily-ever-after element.
For Shah Rukh Khan, this film is a return to his days as a lover boy. Yes, his skin is no longer chocolate boyish, but he still looks like a million bucks. It remains to be seen whether this film will be successful like Raees and Dear Zindagi, or tank miserably like Dilwale. Europe has been lucky for him, considering films like DDLJ and K3G (it was shot in London, which was a part of Europe then) were shot there. Like Imtiaz, even SRK knows how to do romantic comedies really well. K2H2, DDLJ, Yes Boss, Chalte Chalte and Dil To Pagal Hai, all these movies had some extremely wonderful light-hearted scenes.
As for Anushka, we can’t stop raving about her. Over here too, she has delivered a performance that is effortless. You might think it’s easy to be conversational and upbeat, but try doing that in front of so many crew members, and you’ll realize how hard it is to be natural.
So without further ado, here’s presenting the trailer of Jab Harry Met Sejal.
We think it’s great, but if you have a different view, let us know in the comments below.
