Doordarshan To Now Bring Back Doosra Keval Starring Shah Rukh Khan
Following the national lockdown due to the novel coronavirus which has claimed countless lives and decimated an already staggering economy, Doordarshan, the national broadcaster came through with their archives to help keep us entertained.
After Circus and Fauji, DD is now bringing back Doosra Keval, a show featuring the one and only, Shah Rukh Khan.
A tweet on the official handle of Doordarshan read: “Coming soon – #DoosraKeval starring @iamsrk on @RetroDD”.

The show is a limited-episode series which released in 1989. King Khan played the role of Keval, a village boy who goes to town and stays there. DD has had a phenomenal response after it began airing shows like Ramayan, Mahabharat, Shriman Shrimati, Circus, Byomkesh Bakshi and Fauji.
In fact, due to the re-telecast, Ramayana even went on to become the most-watched show in the world. A tweet from the official account of channel Doordarshan read: “WORLD RECORD!! Rebroadcast of #Ramayana on #Doordarshan smashes viewership records worldwide, the show becomes most-watched entertainment show in the world with 7.7 crore viewers on 16th of April”.
