Meezaan Jafri and Navya Naveli Nanda have been linked to each other for the longest time now. Neither of the two has ever addressed the rumours until now as well, but Jafri finally decided to speak about his equation with Nanda Naveli and clear the air about his relationship status.
Stating that he and Naveli Nanda are just ‘friends’, he told ETimes, “It was strange for me to enter the house of the Bacchan family. Then it was difficult for me to face my parents. They used to stare at me and they were like, ‘What is this?’ And I was like ‘Even I don’t know’ as we both the families have known each other for a long time. I last went there when they hosted a Diwali bash. The entire industry was there.”
“Honestly, me and Navya are really close friends and I think because of me, her name has come up in a lot of places and that is unfair. It’s her private life. I don’t want to include any of her family. It’s really unfair to be talking about someone else at this point of time,” the actor added.
Earlier, during an interview, Jafri had said, “Why will I admit it when there is no relationship? There is no relationship, okay? We’re friends. Friends ka bhi ek relationship hota hai (friendship is also a relationship). It’s not a boyfriend-girlfriend dating relationship. Just cause we get papped outside a theatre leaving with friends, by the way, that doesn’t mean, ‘Oh, we’re dating’.”
On the work front, Meezaan Jafri marked his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production film Malaal. He will now be seen in Hungama 2 alongside Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Pranitha Subhash. Navya Naveli Nanda, who is a graduate of New York’s Fordham University, co-owns Aara Health. The online platform talks about several health problems, and we often see Navya Naveli indulge herself in charities as whatnot.
