Minissha Lamba And Other Few Film Wonders
Happy Birthday, Minissha Lamba.
Today is Minissha Lamba’s birthday, and even though her Bollywood career never really took off the way she would have expected it to, we admire her for her breathtaking performance in her debut film Yahaan. We have no idea what she is doing these days, since only her Twitter account is verified and her last tweet was made way back on 13 November 2016. She was married in 2015 to Ryan Tham, who owned a nightclub in Mumbai called Trilogy.
Except for Yahaan and Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Minissha didn’t do too many films of note. But she isn’t the only actress whose career fizzled out as quickly as soda bubbles.
Celina was launched in a Fardeen Khan-Feroz Khan starrer Janasheen. Since then, she starred in a string of flop films like Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Red, Jawani Diwani, etc. Probably, No Entry was the only successful film in her career.
You might remember Udita Goswami from Emraan Hashmi starrer Aksar. Even though, her songs like Jhalak Dikhla Jaa broke all charts and she earned quite a massive fan following, her acting skills were not very versatile. That said, she did turn in a good performance in her debut film Paap.
Except for that Saki Saki song from Musafir, we don’t think Koena Mitra’s Bollywood career had a bright spot. Not that Musafir was a great film, but the song did earn its share of applause among alcoholics.
Even though she had an okayish career down south, her Bollywood career fell flat. It’s no wonder since she was Ram Gopal Verma’s protege who too delivered a string of flop films after making classics such as Rangeela, Satya and Company.
