The multiple lockdowns in the past two years have shot up OTT content consumption by leaps and bounds. Many big stars made their debut on the medium and a lot of promising web content was also introduced to the audience. With nowhere else to go, the audience also lapped up the content with arms wide open. Ajay Devgn’s Rudra, the return of shows like Panchayat, and Aashram made everyone’s lockdown endurable and entertaining.

Six months into 2022, this year too has been great for OTT shows. The audience was spoiled for choices with shows from almost every genre finding viewers. The viewership of these shows proves that people have thoroughly enjoyed them. Ajay Devgn’s Rudra became the most viewed showed followed by Bobby Deol’s show Aashram and Jitendra Kumar’s show Panchayat

Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness registered a viewership of 35.2 million while Aashram Season 3 clocked a viewership of 34.3 million. Panchayat Season 2 stood at the third position with 29.6 million viewers. This was followed by The Great Indian Murder (23.0 million), Lock Upp (21.2 million), Human (19.6 million), Bhaukaal Season 2 (16.6 million), Masoom (16.4 million), Escaype Live (16.1 million) and Campus Diaries (15.4 million). The report was released by The Ormax Media Group.

Internationally, the most-viewed shows included Moon Knight with 23.4 million viewers, followed by Ms Marvel (16.7 million) and Stranger Things Season 4 (15.8 million). The Boys Season 3 garnered a viewership of 9.6 million while at the fifth position was All Of Us Are Dead with a viewership of 7.8 million. 

The report also mentions the most-liked international shows which included Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts and Ozark Season 4. The most-liked Hindi shows included Jim Sarbh’s Rocket Boys and Kapil Sharma’s stand-up Netflix comedy I’m Not Done Yet. Madhuri Dixit’s OTT debut The Fame Game and Gullak Season 3 were declared the most buzz-worthy shows.
