While things might slowly be going back to normal, the Covid-19 scare is still very much prevalent across the globe. We are seeing several new cases emerging every day in our country itself, and many Bollywood celebrities have also become a victim of the novel coronavirus. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor already contracted the virus and recovered, and now Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have also tested positive for Covid-19.
Neetu Kapoor, who herself is a Covid-19 survivor, confirmed Kapoor’s news. She took to social media to share the news, and informed his fans that Kapoor has isolated himself. Soon after this news was out, reports about Bhansali contracting the virus also surfaced online. SLB had been busy with the shoot of Gangubai Kathiawadi, and has now self-quarantined himself post testing positive for the virus.
Alia Bhatt, who was shooting with SLB and quite frequently has been in contact with her boyfriend, Kapoor, also took a Covid test, and her results came negative. “SLB has tested positive for Covid-19, and he is under self-quarantine, Alia too has quarantined herself since SLB and Ranbir both have tested positive. Everybody who has come in contact with Sanjay has taken the test,” a source close to the development informed Indian Express on March 9. With the director falling ill, the shoot of Gangubai Kathiawadi has been stalled.
Workwise, Bhatt will be seen alongside Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna in pivotal roles. The actress also has Takht and SS Rajamouli’s RRR in her kitty. As for Kapoor, he is a part of Shamshera, and had recently flown to Delhi to shoot for Luv Ranjan’s untitled film starring Shraddha Kapoor.
