The post came after a break of eight months. Her last post was a video of her father being mobbed by the media below her apartment in Mumbai back in August 2020. She wrote a long caption for this video saying, “This is inside my building compound, The man in this video is my father Indrajit Chakraborty ( retd . army officer ). We have been trying to get out of our house to cooperate with ED, CBI and various investigation authorities to cooperate. There is a threat to my life and my family’s life. How is this family going to live? I request @mumbaipolice to please provide protection so that we can cooperate with these investigation agencies.”
Rhea Chakraborty has had a tough year after being linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. The actress’ name was dragged into several controversies, and we witnessed a media trial like never before. Chakraborty was interrogated by police officials and received a lot of hate online. Her brother, Showik Chakraborty, was also dragged into a drug case controversy that was linked to SSR’s death.
The last update on the SSR suicide case revealed that a charge sheet has been filed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) where they have named Chakraborty and 33 others in an alleged drug case that surfaced during the death probe of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress’ advocate Satish Maneshinde said, ”All efforts of NCB have been directed towards Rhea Chakraborty to somehow rope her in.”
