Before we dive into the deeply intriguing world of story-based games, let’s first take a look at some statistics. According to Forbes, Avengers: End Game has a total box office collection of $2.781 billion while Avatar has $2.788 billion. However, last year, Doug Creutz, an analyst for Cowen said that the legendary GTA 5 has sold over 90 million total copies, resulting in a total profit of, wait for it, $6 billion! If this simple statistic is taken into consideration, GTA 5 could very well be the best entertainment product of all time, apparently. GTA 5, along with other recent releases like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Last of Us have forever itched a deep memory in the hearts of gaming fans all around the world. In light of this, we thought of compiling a list of some of the most eagerly anticipated action-adventure and role-playing games to be released in the near future.

We couldn’t really end the list without talking about the next Grand Theft Auto, could we? Although very little is known about GTA 6, it is expected not to be set in U.S.A this time around. Also, rumours suggest that the game will not be released until 2021. Since the last GTA was released more than five years ago, the wait for GTA 6 only seems to be getting longer.
