2016 and 2017 undoubtedly belonged to Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana. The B-town stars gave us some great performances in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Aligarh. Now, it appears that 2018 belongs to the fantabulous Vicky Kaushal.

Kaushal has always been credited with terrific performances right from the 2015 film, Masaan. He did a good job in Raman Raghav 2.0 and it appears that his talent hasn’t gone unnoticed. This year, he has shone in all his appearances – Love per Square Foot, Raazi, Lust Stories, Sanju . . . you name it. In fact, in an exclusive interview with Man’s World, director-producer Karan Johar spoke about his deep respect for the 30-year-old actor.

Kaushal has three more projects coming up – Manmarziyaan, Uri and Takht which will be directed by KJo. While the nepotism debate rages on, it is heartening to see talented actors like Khurrana, Rao and Kaushal getting their much-deserved place under the sun.

In Sanju, Kaushal stole the light from under some very established noses. His performance as Kamli earned him some rave reviews with Rachit Gupta from The Times of India considering it to be “one of the finest performances in the film”. It’s an exciting time for Kaushal, we’re sure, and we can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.
