Vijay Deverakonda featured in Dabboo Ratnani’s 2021 Calendar shoot. The actor can be seen in a raw and rugged-looking avatar atop a bike. Sharing the picture with his fans, the actor revealed that he was initially hesitant to shoot for the calendar and it was Shah Rukh Khan aka SRK who made him take the plunge.
“I was very hesitant initially because I didn’t want my look or my physique to be shown before the film’s release. But then I thought it’s okay because when I didn’t even know I wanted to be an actor, I saw Shah Rukh Khan sir on the calendar and I love his journey, coming from Delhi and being a nobody and becoming the king of Bollywood. I admire that man. So I thought this (photoshoot) is like a must-do, and today it’s done. So I feel really happy,” the Arjun Reddy actor is heard saying in a BTS video shared by Dabboo Ratnani.

Talking about his Bollywood debut film, Liger, the teaser of the same was supposed to be unveiled on Deverakonda’s birthday on May 9. While the South star’s fans were eagerly waiting to see Deverakonda’s glimpse in the teaser, the maker of the film issued a statement saying that they won’t be releasing the teaser.
“During these testing times, we hope you all are staying indoors and taking care of yourself and your loved ones. We were all geared up to reveal a power-packed teaser for Liger on 9th May. However, due to the current scenario and environment that our country is facing, we have decided to postpone the same in the hope to share it with the world at a better time for us all,” the statement read.
Liger is slated to hit the theatres on September 9. The Pan-India fill will release in five languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
