Hyundai India just unveiled the new Hyundai Creta – an upcoming crossover SUV that will debut sometime later this year. The Creta is based on Hyundai’s all new Hive body structure which happens to use high-tensile steel which is supposed to give the vehicle greater structural rigidity making it safer to drive, while increasing its load carrying capacities.
The car follows Hyundai’s new Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy, and looks like a more compact version of the Hyundai Santa Fe. It will be available with 3 engine options ranging between the 1.6 litre VTVT petrol and the 1.4 and 1.6 CRDi diesel options, the latter producing 121 bhp of power and being available with automatic transmission as an optional feature.
Hyundai has stated that the defining attributes of their cars will be their high-quality finish, their sharp design defined by a singular hexagonal grille which will be found on all models.
