If you’re a student at University Of Philippines and fan of Korean drama, then this course is for you.

The state university’s College of Mass Communication is now offering an elective class on the analysis of K-dramas for school year 2020-2021. According to Manila Bulletin, the College of Mass Communication will host the class and can only provide 25 seats. But of now, over 200 students have already enlisted for the course.

The students will be analysing three K-dramas: the hit “Crash Landing on You” about the star-crossed romance between a South Korean heiress and a North Korean Army captain; “Chicago Typewriter” which tells the story of three reincarnated resistance fighters who lived during the 1930s Japanese occupation of Korea; and “Misaeng: Incomplete Life” which depicts the struggles of office workers.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the class will taken online through Google Meet, Messenger, Viber or Zoom. Titled as “Special Topics: Analysis of K-drama Series,” the course is open to all majors and will take place every Friday once the semester begins.
