Haven’t had a WTF moment in a while? This video for True Survivor, a theme song for David Hasselhoff’s upcoming movie, will surely give you one. ‘The Hoff’, best known for his lead roles in the TV series Knight Rider and Baywatch, apparently wants to release his Kickstarter funded movie, Kung Fury. The film pays homage to the martial arts and police action movies from the 1980s, and David Sandberg of Kickstarter has this to say about the film on an IMDb page: “During an unfortunate series of events, a friend of Kung Fury is assassinated by the most dangerous kung fu master criminal of all time – Adolf Hitler, a.k.a Kung Führer. Kung Fury decides to travel back in time, to Nazi Germany, in order to kill Hitler and end the Nazi empire once and for all.”
To catch the essence of a long gone era, the song time travels back to years ago, and the video just made it to our must-see list. It opens on the 62-year old Hasselhoff messing with a few street thugs, who make his car go flying. The video, with crazy special effects, also has arcade robots, vikings, Nazis and Hitler, of course, but what caught our attention were the dinosaurs. According to Jared Leto’s tweet about the video, we should all “Say Thank You for putting this in your life”.
