“The sets will be ethereal with luminous ruins that will transform from heaven into hell with a shift in light. [There will be] demons crashing through gothic gates guarded by winged angels and more,” Gauri Khan told mid-day about tomorrow’s lavish Halloween themed party that will take place at Taj Land’s End, Bandra.

“We all wanted to create a space like no other. It had to be luxurious to the point of decadence,” she added.

It’ll be the first party in India that has been organized in association with one of London’s most reputed nightclubs, Cirque Le Soir.

If you look at the few videos that have been uploaded by Gauri Khan on her Instagram, there is a lot of attention to detail given to the sculptures and props used in the set. Gauri’s also used eco-friendly products like recycled bags and LED lights to design some of the installations.

Gauri’s love for design has made her a big name in the interior design space and she has lent her creativity to some high profile houses like those of Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar. “I was redecorating my own home, and other related projects, when people started approaching me to design their properties as well. I took the plunge as a hobby, and before I knew it, it turned into a life-long, fulfilling profession for me,” she writes on her official website.

Her designs have received some glowing testimonials as well, with Ranbir Kapoor saying, “It has been a very inspiring and enjoyable experience collaborating with Gauri. I didn’t know what to expect in putting my first home together, but working with Gauri was amazing because, in an instant, everything was so personal and to my taste.”
