Kala Ghoda’s heritage buildings are the perfect setting for this Levantine restaurant by the folks behind Gustoso. Eastern Mediterranean cuisine – inspired by the Phoenicians, Turks, Lebanese, Jews and even the French – is the sole focus, with fresh ingredients and authentic recipes taking the spotlight. The venue itself, the handiwork of acclaimed design atelier Rosendale Design, is plush and elegant. The dining experience is further elevated by a superb selection of serve-ware – hand-crafted crockery from Curators Of Clay and bespoke brassware from Baarique.

Small plates extend beyond varieties of hummus and moutabel to offer more eclectic selections like Halloumi salad and freshly baked Lebanese breads. The menu for mains isn’t nearly that extensive, choosing to focus on a ‘Grills’ section that leads into dessert – with a must-have Tahini ice cream.
