Back in 2007, Shahid Afridi and Gautam Gambhir got into a verbal fight during an ODI. The video circulated around YouTube to much popularity, and their abrasive relationship has remained a fan favorite since.
Both cricketers are also known to be vocal on issues close to their heart. Gambhir has found conflict with the Delhi Cricket Association, while Afridi has garnered notoriety for his blunt Twitter feed.
Now, the two have squared off over Kashmir. First, Afridi posted alleged human right violations by occupying forces in the area.
Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?

Gambhir then defended the Indian right to Kashmir and made fun of Afridi’s intelligence.
Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!
