The IPL season is upon us and it is going on in all of its majestic glory. Every state is rooting or its favourite team to win enough matches to have their name at the top of the IPL points table.
Last week, the Delhi Capitals were at the number one position on the IPL points table after an extremely successful run. But this week, the team was dethroned by the defending champions Chennai Super Kings. Take a look at the complete IPL points table below:
Sitting right on top with 16 points to their name, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have the highest points this week out of any other teams on the IPL points table.CSK is followed by the Delhi Capitals at 14 points. The team was pushed down to the second position after CSK’s recent win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Mumbai Indians sit comfortably at the third position with 12 points while Sunrisers Hyderabad sit right below them at 10 points.
Two teams who have been dipping down in the point scale are Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders, who sit at the fifth position and sixth position with 10 points respectively.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been showing a considerable amount of improvement. RCB’s recent win has gotten them 10 points and has finally lifted them up to the second-last position after stagnating for weeks at the bottom. It’s RR who now find themselves sitting at the last position with just 8 points.
