He has made himself the second most profitable athlete in the nation, after Virat Kohli. There is word of his endorsement rates hiking as far as 10-fold.

All winners have seen major shifts in numbers when it comes to social media and engagement, which can also make endorsements lucrative. Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, who had 90,000 Instagram followers before the Games, now has 8.6 lakh followers.

All medal winners at the Olympics have been seeing an influx of endorsements and deals along with the adoration they have received from the masses.

Sportswoman Mirabai Chanu, who brought in India’s first medal at the Tokyo games. She won the silver medal for India on day one at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in the women’s 49 kg weightlifting event and that seems to have made a sensation overnight, just like Chopra. She has endorsed Adidas apparel and according to her team, is receiving offers for everything ranging from women’s healthcare to tyres.

Chopra won the gold medal in the men’s javelin final, throwing 87.58m. Ever since his return to India after the historic win, his lack of training and minor illness forced Neeraj to take a break.
