The Bose Sunglasses That You Can Hear Music From Are Finally Coming To India
We’re not close to our sunglasses projecting holographic images in front of us, but we do live in an age where you can now talk and listen to our sunglasses.
On Thursday, Bose announced the arrival of the highly-anticipated Bose Frames. The sunglasses will be available in two styles — the Alto and the Rondo. The Alto-style frames are bigger and squarish, while the Rondos are smaller and round.
Coming to the main feature that makes this pair of sunglasses different from all the other pairs you own, these Bose Frames come with a tiny audio system on the temples that help you listen to music and receive calls. Basically, turning your pair of sunglasses into wireless headphones. You also have the option to connect to your virtual assistants like Siri or Bixby and place commands. You can expect around 3.5 hours of playback and can recharge the glasses to their full capacity in under two hours.
“Frames are both magical and practical,” said Mehul Trivedi, director of Bose Frames. “With the new lens options, they’re more versatile premium sunglasses. But when you turn them on, they function like headphones, instantly connecting to your phone, contacts, the web, and all its audible content. Frames have taken the wearable category by storm since their U.S. release six months ago, and we’re really excited to bring their ground-breaking performance — and new accessories — to people all over the world.”
The matte black Bose Frames, along with the Bose Frame Lens collection that includes polarized and non-polarized lenses, will go on sale next week and will retail at a price of Rs 21,900.
