-Style is a form of self-expression via clothing. A man’s beliefs can be seen in his clothing.
-I would define my style as ‘funk classic’.
-I’m not too fussed about brands. Basically, if it’s good quality and conducive to the weather where I live, then it doesn’t matter whether it’s from the flea market, a high street brand or haute couture.
-I largely stick to the classics. A little bit of experimenting with the look is fine, but I wouldn’t go Lady Gaga or David Bowie on it.
-My most recent purchase was a pair of brown shoes. I had learnt that you need a pair of good brown shoes, so that’s what made me buy it. I don’t buy stuff on an impulse.
-Always wear the right material for the weather. That is priority over style or colour or anything.
-Wearing presentable socks and not having on wrinkled clothes are obvious points, but I’ll still reiterate them.
-I find Anil Kapoor really stylish. Will Smith is another guy whose style I admire. Among the younger lot, it would have to be Ranveer Singh. He’s a bit out there, but always dressing up so well.
-Every man must have a wrist watch – please don’t check the time on your phone.
-My wardrobe essentials include a pair of quick dry pants, all weather shoes from a brand like Columbia and a lungi.
-A grooming staple that I think no man should do without is a nostril hair trimmer.
-Indian men are very content with not going out of their comfort zone when it comes to style. I think it’s a mindset that needs to change.
