Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique Titanium
When launched in the 1950s, the first Fifty Fathoms stood out, thanks to its practical features. This iconic watch was updated and enhanced in 2007, with a date placed between 4 and 5 o’clock, while preserving its immediately recognizable DNA. The new version of the Fifty Fathoms Automatique model now has a satin-brushed 45mm titanium case. Water-resistant to 300 metres, it has a ratcheted unidirectional rotating bezel, fitted with a scratchproof domed black sapphire insert. The markers, dial hour-markers and hands are made of SuperLumiNova, for enhanced visibility. The coating strikes an ideal contrast with the sunburst black face of the watch. It has a 5-day power reserve.
Breitling Navitimer Super 8
The Breitling Navitimer Super 8 was inspired by the Reference 637, a stopwatch that pilots in the 1930s and 1940s wore strapped to their thighs. It was created by Breitling’s Huit Aviation Department, which was established in 1938. The 46mm case is available in titanium or stainless steel, with a screwed caseback that matches the case metal. The stainless steel model has a black dial while the titanium version features a military green dial. Both have large, luminescent Arabic numerals and a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The hour and minute hands are also luminescent. A triangular pointer is adjusted by rotating the bezel, making it easy to track elapsed times. The power reserve is over 70 hours, and it is water-resistant to 30 metres.
TAG Heuer Aston Martin Special Edition Chronograph
The first watch in this collection is the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 chronograph. The famous manufacture movement is visible through the dial, which is skeletonised in a hexagonal pattern that recalls the details on the new Vantage. The second model is a TAG Heuer Formula 1 chronograph. Entirely in steel and measuring 43mm in diameter, this quartz chronograph features a notched steel bezel and an aluminium ring with a tachymeter scale. The indexes, seconds hand and Aston Martin’s famous winged logo all don Aston Martin Racing’s specific shade of lime essence and stand out against the watch’s black dial to beautiful effect.
Frederique Constant Vintage Rally Chronograph
Each of these three new model versions picks up the DNA from the iconic design of the 1960s British cars, Austin Healey. Featured with a 42mm stainless steel or rose gold plated case, it provides enough space for readability. The convex sapphire crystal over the dial prevents shocks and scratches, and the watch is water-resistant up to 50 metres. On the dial, the colours displayed are green with white counters, silver with grey counters and navy with white counters. The hands and Arabic numerals on the dial are enhanced by luminous treatment. The Healey logo is at 6 o’clock. The leather straps are perforated in the style of driving gloves. The power reserve is 46 hours, and the watch is limited to 2,888 pieces.
Chopard Mille Miglia Racing Colours
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Chopard and Mille Miglia, the Maison has a new collection, composed of five Mille Miglia Racing Colours watches – Rosso Corsa, Speed Silver, British Racing Green, Vintage Blue and Speed Yellow. These were the colours allocated to the various nations competing in the world of motor racing, and they pay tribute to the the Mille Miglia, widely referred to as the “most beautiful race in the world.” These are 42mm chronographs, in 300-piece limited series for each dial colour. The dials display optimal legibility, thanks to broad Arabic numerals that are luminescent at night, as are the hands. The slim cursive fonts, as well as the counters, are inspired by the typical dashboards of the late 1920s and stand out by their silver-toned colour. The arrow-shaped Mille Miglia logo appears at 12 o’clock in the heart of the dial. The power reserve is 42 hours, and the watch is water-resistant to 50 metres.
Longines HydroConquest
The distinctive characteristics of this collection include water-resistance to 300 metres, a unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown and case back, crown protection and a double security folding clasp with integrated diving extension. The hands and the hour markers are inlaid with SuperLumiNova, to stand out in sharp contrast to the dark look of the new grey, black and blue sunray dials. The strap has also been upgraded, with colours that match the dial, while the metal version combines polished and brushed steel. The watches are available in 41mm and 43mm sizes for models with three hands and a calendar, and 41mm for the chronograph model.
Seiko Lord
This new collection combines performance and design. The bold looks, carved out of stainless steel, make them sharp dress watches. The round maroon dial, the hardlex dial and a water resistance of 10 bar make this model stand out.
Rado HyperChrome Ultra Light
Presented in two earthy tones, these bronze and brown timepieces are a study in harmonious contrasts. The HyperChrome Ultra Light is made using ultra-light high-tech ceramic, and weighs just 56 grams. The ceramic (Si3N4) is half the weight of standard Rado high-tech ceramic, and is even harder and more scratch-resistant. Taking their inspiration from 20th century pocket watches, the simplicity and legibility of the brown sunray ceramic dials give these timepieces a classic appearance. The brown version has a sporty NATO strap, while the bronze edition has a brown aged leather strap.
Casio G-Shock G Squad Dagger
The latest addition in the G-Shock line-up of urban sports watches, the design, colours and themes of the series are inspired by modern basketball attire. Named after the deciding late-game 3-point shot in basketball, the watches are available in four colours. The bands are imprinted with inspirational messages. Linking with the G-Shock Connected phone app provides access to numerous functions supporting workouts, including configuration of settings for a step count log with five exercise intensity levels, calorie calculations, and step targets. The app can be used to create timer combinations and send them to the watch, store stopwatch measurement data, view data and more, all combining to help plan and record your workouts. The daily health and fitness support functions also include a 3-axis accelerometer, a Countdown-Timer, memory for up to 200 lap records and more.
Luminox LEATHERBACK SEA TURTLE Collection
Luminox’s popular collection, launched in 2017, is one of their most popular lines, and gets an update – three new colourways, featuring hues of orange, cream, hunter-green and black, have been launched. One model will be offered with a black PU band, while the other two will feature a black NATO webbing strap. The shape of the classic Luminox design has a protected crown balanced by an opposite outcropping that has often been compared to the shape of a turtle, hence the name. The case is made of Carbonox, an incredibly strong carbon compound material, and the watch has 10ATM water-resistance, scratch resistant mineral glass crystal and a stainless steel double-gasket protected crown.
