Italian style is a fulcrum of peacock dressing. Travelling to Italy kindles a visual array of design and deepens the artistic vein. Italians are diurnal dressers, and that stimulates my design prowess. Italian style has various facets, of which the most appealing is ‘sprezzatura’ which means nonchalance, the art of dressing effortlessly. It’s an inherent attribute that stimulates experimentation, a way of perfectly imperfect dressing.

1. Italian suits are known to be extremely trendy, as they are cut very slim. The silhouette is sleek, modern and very stylish.

2. The jackets are shorter and cut closer to the body, with the buttons positioned higher, showing a pronounced ‘V’ shape.

3. Italians prefer lighter fabrics, higher gorge lines and less padding.

4. For an Italian gent, the pocket square is the single most indispensable tool for defining elegance.

5. Pants have a tapered waist, and the hips are snugly fit to the body.
