Dutch denim brand G-Star RAW is set to hit local shores, with their first-ever exclusive India store set to open in Palladium, Mumbai, this July.
The 1,200 sq ft space will showcase the brand’s products, made using head designer Pierre Morisset’s 3D Denim approach, which caught the fancy of the fashion industry when it was launched in 1996.
Unlike traditional pattern making, which approaches the garment as a flat object, 3D Denim sculpts to the body’s form, creating a fit of increased precision and comfort. This method continues to be explored and furthered by the brand – the ‘Type C’ style is the most recent addition, following the Arc pant and G-Star Elwood.
Also expect their Japanese selvedge denims, unwashed raw denims in deep indigo shades and natural-looking washes and treatments.
